Community Responses – Week Two

We’re into week two of Lent and we are loving hearing how you are all getting on. Over on the Facebook group there have been some great suggestions for meals, gift alternatives and lots of encouragement. We’ve seen some great meal suggestions and heard some global responses too. We’ve put together some of the highlights here.

If you’d like to get back in touch with us during Lent, to share your journey with the community, you can do so on our Facebook Group, or over on our community page.

We’ve also had some great messages from our global Living Lent community! We wanted to say hello to some global friends in the Facebook community:

The Uniting Church in Sweden!

Debbie, from Austin, Texas.

Carol, from Ohio.

And any other global Living Lent community members! Let us know where you are getting involved from.

You’ve sent us some great pictures of your vegetarian and vegan meals!

…and we’ve had some recipe suggestions. Christine recommended this sweet potato curry.

Angela, one of the community members, shared her tutorial on how to make your own beeswax wraps, a great alternative to cling film:

Read Angela’s ‘How To’ guide here

We’ve even had suggestions of alternative commuting activities, if you can’t buy new books! We love these – community in action.

St Andrews Church in Birmingham has been getting really involved, and hosted a locally sourced breakfast on Sunday morning.

Have you hosted a Living Lent event? Send us some pictures!

It’s been great to hear from the youngest members of the Living Lent community too, at St Bernadette’s primary school in Birmingham.

Don’t forget that you can get in touch with us on our Facebook Group, or over on our community page.
